Gazing meditation is be done by focusing on one object, such as the flame of a candle, and letting your thoughts flow in and out until you reach a point of utter mind silence. Using brainwave entrainment frequencies that range from 3Hz to 15Hz, and an isochronic tone of 2.5Hz, these are associated with relaxation, deep meditation, increases focus, can provide pain relief, and can even have a pleasurable feeling of floating during your calm, lucid state. Focusing on your breathing will help keep you from paying attention to those busy thoughts, and using the candle as your focal point object, this technique is also known as Trataka, or eye cleansing and concentration. Make sure you are in a comfortable upright sitting position, have the candle at eye level and make sure that the room you are meditating in will not have a breeze to keep the candle flame at a steady position. Try not to blink for as long as you can and focus mainly on your breath and the binaural beats. Listen with headphones to achieve the best brainwave entrainment results.
